What’s Being Said

"Every now and then a book comes along, and I ask myself, 'Why didn't I write that?' Roger Wenschlag's book, We Hug in the Hallways Here is one of those. It is about behavioral style-how we express ourselves and deal with others-and how we can use that knowledge to select a career/job and a company in which we fit, and can be at our best. The thing I appreciate most about Roger's book is its informal, practical tone. He takes a potentially complex subject and makes sense out of it through clear prose, concrete examples, and stories. In fact, throughout the chapter about my style, I found myself saying, 'That's me alright!' The book strongly validates what I have known for a long time: When it comes to deciding on a job/career and a place to work, your style does matter!"

“Roger Wenschlag has created a wonderful roadmap for anyone concerned about finding the right fit between job and self. Using the powerful DISC model of behavior, he zeros in on motivators and demotivators that can make or break job success and takes the mystery out of organizational culture. Whether you are looking for the perfect job, find yourself in an imperfect job, or guiding others who are, this book is a must read. As a practitioner, I have been using the DISC model for over 20 years and have been waiting for someone to put into book form the essence of matching behavioral style to job demands. This is it!”

“Roger writes with lucidity and economy of prose while exploring a complex central theme - that understanding and making the most of your personal behavioral style can have a considerable and positive effect on your life and career. It should be required reading for all senior high school students, college undergraduates, and anyone who would benefit from the help and assurance that Roger offers to those considering their future.”
